Bighorn Staff

Director Brenda Morrison brings extensive experience in public policy development, non-profit management and public engagement strategies. She spent a decade in the non-profit sector with youth-oriented and community development organizations and then served for seven years as the Associate Director of the Bighorn Center for Public Policy. Her responsibilities there included developing the leadership program and managing the Center’s special events and public engagement. Brenda was the architect of one of the largest public engagement projects, Colorado 100, which focused on the passage of Referendum C. The Bighorn Leadership Development Program continues under her direction at CSU.

Facilitator Chris Adams is the president of The Adams Group. He has worked in public policy and facilitation for over 15 years, the last ten with The Adams Group. His work has been primarily in health care, but also supports policy development in education and natural resources. Prior to founding The Adams Group, Adams was Director and Associate Director of The Center for Ethics and Social Policy of The Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. Chris has provided facilitation and support to the Bighorn Program since its inception.

Program Assistant Kristen Petty is a recent graduate of Colorado State University with an interest in public policy and civic engagement.  As an undergraduate at CSU, she was involved in several opportunities on and off campus to develop her interest in leadership, facilitation and service.  Some of these include her time as a mentor and partnership coordinator for the Key Service Community, a member of the Public Service Scholars Program, and intern at several non-profits in and outside of Colorado.
